ABOUT US
Sri Sharada Nikethana Association, Bengaluru, was established in 1960s, during a time when there was no proper accommodation and food facilities for the students relocated to Bangalore for continuing their education. This institution gradually grew through the supreme efforts of some eminent personalities of our community. Further, this institution was registered in the year 1972 under the Society Registration Act 1960 (Mysore Act No.17 of 1960). (RC No.112/72-73 dated 21-07-1972). The main contributors for all these achievements were Sri D. Krishna Murthy, a renowned industrialist of that time, Sri M.N. Venkatasubbaiah, a leading electrical contractor, Sri V.K. Ramanna, an enthusiastic entrepreneur, Sri M.S. Purushotthamarao, a leading advocate, Sri L. Narayana Rao, Professor of Botany at the reputed National college Bengaluru, the well known engineers Dr. C.S. Vishwanath, Sri P.V. Venkatasubbaiah and many others. All most all of them are now a remembrance only. Sri V.K. Ramanna a center pillar of our organisation left his mortal body just a few days before launching of this Web-site (01-07-2025). All of them have left behind their noble intentions, diligence, integrity, dedication to work etc., and they are the guiding force to all of us even today. The result of their collective resolve is the majestic building of the institution standing before us today at the Mount Joy Road, Hanumanthanagar, Bengaluru-560019.
To represent Sri Sharada Nikethana Association and to bring into action it's noble cause and objectives, the following persons have been elected by the Administrative Officer of the Co-operative department, Government of Karnataka.
